1985-89 World Cup Edition - 60240

The World Cup Edition was re-introduced in 1985 after a break of 5 years. This particular picture was from the 1986 catalogue but it is also shown on the 1985 price list. It is possible that the box may have said "Table Soccer" instead of "The Football Game" in line with the other sets of that year. This set contained Tournament Goals (61154), Scoreboard (61158), Fence Surround (61108), Number Transfers (61206) and Kicking Goalkeepers (61203). This set also had had fifteen man teams, to match the range of World Cup squads launched at the same time as this set.
