Football Boxed Sets

1940's Original Assembly Outfit

The original set came out in 1947 in a red box with the details written on a brown lid. The early versions have cut out teams, but the 1949-50 set illustrated had press out card teams. The set is about the size of a 1960s team box, and can be this small because there is no pitch and the goals are flat packed metal (with paper nets). The set came with ball, two team sheets, 20 bases, 2 goalkeeper bases and wires, one number sheet, 2 goal frames and netting sheet, and one piece of chalk The players are cut out, or press-out cardboard.
