Set T - Six Pitch Flags.
"These are manufactured so they do not obstruct play at the corner
touchlines, yet as well as giving an added realistic touch to the field of
play, do answer whether "a goal kick or throw-in"."
These metal flags with
cleverly designed bases survived until the end of the 1960's. They were
replaced at the end of the 1960s by C117, the plastic flags with ball
raising chutes. The box is interesting because it is also designed to hold
set F (three balls), or set P (the referees) and the inappropriate letters
were inked out. You can see from the picture that the flags were not
exactly to scale!
