Set A
(1949) - The Popular
Introductory Assembly Outfit.
"Complete in box, with full assembling instructions
and rules of play, together with advice on how to spin the figures."

When Subbuteo was invented in 1949, the
first set in the accessory range was a full edition of the game, called
the "Assembly Edition". It was a real do-it-yourself set. The
netting was a card sheet, and you were given a piece of chalk so you
could mark out the pitch on an old army blanket. |
